PADI Discover Scuba Diving
About this Course
PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course is a beginner course without certification. It is ideal for someone who lacks prior diving experience and is reasonably healthy. Discover Scuba Diving lessons are designed for adults and kids who are not less than ten years old. At Scuba Duka, we offer this training in a pool, off Diani Beach or from our dive boat. While you are on a holiday at a dive location like Diani Beach, Kenya, you can dive with us even for the very first time. If you can swim quite well, just come and enroll with us. We will introduce you to scuba diving and instill enough confidence in you so that you can sign up for advanced diving courses. So, are you ready to begin your PADI discover Scuba Diving course? - Prerequisites: Able to swim; medically fit for diving
- Total time commitment: 4-7 days
- Minimum age: 10 years or older
- Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft
How to Earn your Scuba Diving Certification
Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology offline then learn basic scuba skills in a pool (or pool-like environment) with a highly trained PADI Instructor. When you’re ready, make four dives in an open water environment (the ocean, a lake) with your instructor supporting you every step of the way.
With Your Instructor
Practice using scuba gear in a pool (or pool-like environment) until you’re comfortable. PADI training includes practice “mini dives” to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.
